At Crave, we stand for two things above all else: empowering women to own their pleasure and great design. So with those principles in mind—and the help of Crave co-founder and designer Ti Chang—we’ve rounded up 10 awesome and unique gift ideas that your friends and significant others are sure to love. We've included a few Crave toys, of course, but we have no financial affiliation with any of the other brands or products featured here. We simply think they’re awesome!Read More
We are delighted to complete our International Masturbation Month celebration in discussion with Emily Morse, the popular sexologist and host of the Sex With Emily podcast.
Who inspires you and why?
In my personal life, my mom has been a huge inspiration to me. I’m grateful for the hard work ethic my parents instilled in me, even though getting a job after school was the last thing I wanted as a 14 year old. Working consistently, however, taught me the power of dependability, humility and determination.
I’m also inspired by people who don’t accept their status quo sexual experiences—who are willing to be vulnerable and commit to learn more about their sexual desires and, more importantly, learn how to communicate those needs to a partner.Read More
We are delighted to continue our International Masturbation Month celebration with Hayley MacMillen, who introduces herself here:
As Refinery29's Sex & Relationships Editor, I write a weekly sex column, The Bed Post, which explores what holds us back from the sex and love lives we want to lead, especially shame and stigma; edit essays from talented freelancers; appear on Refinery29's Facebook Live talk show Sexcess!; and cover all things sexuality, gender, and relationships. My job also involves lots of sex-toy testing, which is one of my favorite perks. In my past life, I did communications for health nonprofits in East Africa, and the belief that guided me then guides me now: Health is a human right, and fully realized sexuality is a central part of it.
Who inspires you and why?
Right now, I'm inspired by Samantha Bee and her show Full Frontal. She doesn't hesitate to lampoon ineptitude or ignorance wherever it appears, even if it's on the part of someone who shares her liberalism. "Speaking truth to power" is a cliché by now, but that's what she's doing. And I am loving Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow's discussions of menstruation politics (and everything else) on their podcast Call Your Girlfriend. Their conversations are nuanced, frank, and not just shame-free but proud. None of these women are apologizing for centering "women's issues"; they're challenging why we section off issues relevant to women with this label in the first place.Read More

Who inspires you and why?
In life, my family. They are perfect people. Who really gets to say that? In career: Esther Perel and Dan Savage. I literally have never heard one single thing from these people I do not agree with. And I love their delivery. Ya know there's a Google talk with Esther and Dan - clearly I exploded after watching it so now I am typing to you in tiny parts.Read More

We're nearly sold out of our first limited release of the Crave Bullet Vibrator, and we wanted to give you a look behind the scenes at how we went about creating this modern version of a classic toy.
Over the past few years, we’ve been focused on creating entirely new categories of sex toys, connecting both with people who loved sex toys and were ready for something new as well as with people who had never considered a sex toy before because they didn’t find the available products appealing.
And both the people who adored sex toys and the people who were put off by sex toys told us about bullet vibrators. They loved the compact size and shape. It was a perfect first vibe for someone who didn’t want a giant vibrating phallus that took up half the nightstand drawer space. And it worked with harnesses and cock rings and dildos and other toys, solo or with a partner.
But for some people (including most of the people on our design team), there was just nothing sexy about a small cheap plastic toy with a loud buzz and expensive batteries that was hard to use and challenging to clean. We wanted no part of it, and yet we found ourselves curious about why people found them so compelling, even when more innovative products were starting to come to market.
The more we talked to people, the more we began to understand. The simple shape of the bullet was approachable and unassuming. The small size was compact and powerful. And the compatibility with other toys really made it a must-have.
Could we honor what people loved about their bullet vibes and yet wholly reinvent them? Could we bring our design and engineering creative problem-solving skills to the challenges this toy presented? To be honest, it was a bit harder than we imagined. Maintaining the classic 60mm size for compatibility while incorporating a rechargeable power source was no small feat. Rethinking the button control to avoid inadvertent on/off pushes was also more difficult than we expected. And securing all of the components in a fully-waterproof housing was also an engineering challenge.
The finished product, our new Crave Bullet Vibrator, is a reflection of all of this: the conversations we had with customers, retailers, and friends over the years; a desire to preserve the delights of the form while eliminating the compromises people have settled for; and an entire year of design, prototyping, engineering and manufacturing. We are thrilled with the results and hope that you will be too.
Our newest toy will launch on Feb 1st, just in time for Valentine’s Day -- but we want to offer you early access and a special discount for being part of our Cravings community.
The Crave Bullet is an exciting new reimagining of a classic vibrator, the versatile 60mm bullet that works both as a standalone vibe and in harnesses, dildos, and other toys.
A traditional bullet vibrator may be versatile, but it’s also typically poorly made, with cheap plastic, weak vibrations, badly-placed buttons, and worst of all, expensive disposable batteries that need to be replaced frequently.
With innovative features such as USB rechargeability, luxurious and durable materials, a smart button redesign, and waterproofing, the powerful Crave Bullet is a sleek and sexy knockout.
We had some amazing entries for our Scary Sex Story Contest -- sexy tales of chills, thrills, and frightening encounters. For our winner, we picked the one that will give us nightmares for the rest of our lives. Don't say we didn't warn you...
We were walking across Broad Street on our way to a meeting, when out of nowhere my partner grabbed my arm and whispered loudly in my ear, ”I want to try anal sex,” as if it was an urgent matter needing immediate attention. "Now?" I asked. "Don't be silly, not now. But let's not forget to do it." There was really no chance of me forgetting. It's not every day that she says things like that in the middle of a four-lane thoroughfare.Read More
As a heterosexual couple (a bisexual woman and a privately kinky man), having non-penetrative sex feels subversive sometimes. I love masturbating in front of him and performing with sex toys. Sometimes I will beg for his fingers to fill me up because I want that feeling, but I usually need a little more direct stimulation to get off. And no matter how amazing my orgasms can be, I want him to come too.Read More
